Derek Knight has been a real estate appraiser with Cook, Moore, Davenport & Associates since August 2017. Derek earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Planning from Louisiana State University in May 2017. At LSU, he was a University Medalist and Summa Cum Laude graduate, as well as, a member of the Finance Academy, Certified Financial Planning Program, and Student Financial Planning Association. He is currently taking classes to obtain his Certified General Appraisal License. He has assisted in appraising a variety of commercial property types including shopping centers, retail, office, industrial, vacant land, automotive dealerships, and subdivision developments.
Derek Knight was born and raised in Raceland, Louisiana. He has been married since November 2019, and has one beautiful daughter. His hobbies include health and fitness, watching LSU sports, and spending time with family, and friends.
